Nikki uses her speaking platform as a tool to educate people on the importance of never abandoning their dreams, whether it is the pursuit of higher education or repositioning one’s self in a new career or entrepreneurial endeavors. As the Chapter President of Metro Detroit’s Grambling State University Alumni Association, Vice President of the Detroit HBCU Network, member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and a member of the National Society of Leadership & Success, Nikki realizes her ability to dissect and think is not a gift designed to be kept to herself; it is most valuable when given away.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from Grambling State University, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, Nikki has over 15 years of marketing, workforce development, and college recruitment experience. Her passion for education, particularly higher education at historically black colleges and universities, fuels her passion to engage young people and seasoned professionals alike.

While many people seek to fit in and conform to their surroundings, she is unapologetically authentic to her true identity. As an author, entrepreneur, and speaker, Nikki Taylor is not afraid of exceeding the expectations of others, nor is she concerned about what people believe she should or should not be. As a conduit of hope and change, she is most passionate about creating a platform that allows Black people to strive for a life that is not interrupted by systemic oppression and racism. Understanding that, as a community as a whole, Blacks have many notable achievements, Nikki realizes that some community norms of Blacks are detrimental—causing them to simply survive instead of thriving.
